On Nov 24th, 1986, Van Halen fans FINALLY got to drive to a video or record store (remember those?), plop down their hard earned money, and take home an official live video recording of their favorite band. It was like Christmas morning!
You could now watch Van Halen perform — right on your VCR in the comfort of your own home.
It was Van Halen filmed at the New Haven Coliseum on August 27th, 1986. And it BLEW OUR MINDS!
“Live Without A Net” is the first concert performance to be commercially released by Van Halen. It features the hits “Why Can’t This Be Love,” “Love Walks In,” “Best Of Both Worlds,” “Summer Nights,” “Panama,” and “Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love,” plus the always anticipated guitar, bass, and drum solos.
