The Legend Of 1900
October 21, 1999 - Edward Van Halen has contributed two guitar solos to a song on the soundtrack of the movie The Legend Of 1900. The song is titled Lost Boys Calling, and features vocals by Roger Waters (Pink Floyd) and production by Patrick Leonard. On October 25 you will be able to download the song from the Sony Classical web site. If you like the track, you can purchase the album from this link at CDNOW. The soundtrack was released in the USA on October 12. Meanwhile back at 5150, recording of the next Van Halen album continues...
Roth Sueing "Big Ed" Anderson October 31, 1999 - Associated Press are reporting today that David Lee Roth is sueing his former personal manager, Ed Anderson. Jeff Benice, Dave's attorney, has confirmed that a lawsuit was filed Friday in Los Angeles. "The suit was filed as a result of Roth attempting to clean up the bootlegging and piracy of his image off the Internet," Benice said. The report states that Anderson was allowed to set up a web site to sell merchandise by Roth, but was asked to take it down in February when he stopped working for the former Van Halen frontman. As many of you know, Big Ed was working for Dave for most of his 1999 tour, so this part of the story doesn't make much sense.
