Remasters in Australia
May 17, 2001 -
This may be old news to the die-hard Australian fans, but I thought I'd
post it here just in case nobody knew...
The first six Van Halen remastered albums have been released in Australia.
I stumbled across them in a JB Hi-Fi store last weekend. The price was AU$17.99
each (US$9.30), which isn't too bad. If you're looking to purchase just
one to see the difference in sound quality, I'd recommend Diver Down
or 1984. In my opinion, these two albums gained the most
from the remastering process.
Finally, if you haven't already voted for David Lee Roth in the Metal Sludge
"Celebrity Sludge Match", please do it now
because he's currently (at the time of writing this article) losing
to Slash!!

Dec 31, 2000 - 2000: The Year In Review
2000 has come and gone, and I don't have to tell you that it was probably
the most frustrating year ever in the life of Van Halen fans. "No news is
good news" got old real fast.
