New DLR Band Guitarist Confirmed
February 5, 2002 -
Although it hasn't been officially confirmed by an announcement or press release
from the David Lee Roth camp, it looks certain that Toshinori Hiketa the new guitarist in the DLR Band.
A human translation (thanks to Jeff Schrepfer) of Toshi's web site update reads as follows:
DAVID LEE ROTH BAND 2002-02-02 (Sat)
It has been decided that I am to be the new guitarist for the DLR Band!! I look
forward to the day when I can see everyone out on tour!! See ya! From Toshinori Hiketa.
Another pointer is the "Cool Links" section of DLR Band drummer Ray Luzier's
web site (thanks, Eric). Toshi's web site is linked with the following comment:

The news page of Ray Luzier's web site was updated today to confirm that
Toshi Hiketa is the new guitarist in the David Lee Roth band...
Well, I'd like to introduce you to the new David Lee Roth Band guitarist (drum roll...) Toshi Hiketa!
Toshi and I have been bros and have played together in various projects for a few years now. He
was asked to join last year as an additional guitarist for the DLR movie/ video and to record with us in the studio.
