Eddie & Valerie Split

More sad news to report this morning. After 21 years of marriage, Eddie
Van Halen and Valerie Bertinelli have split.
Rumours about the split have been gathering pace since February this year
and have now been confirmed in the latest issue of Us Weekly magazine. From the
New York Daily News:
Breakup rumors dogged the couple through Eddie's fight against alcoholism
and his tongue-cancer scare, but this time it's official. "Because they are
the parents of a young son, they have requested that their family's privacy
be respected at this time," Van Halen's rep tells Us Weekly's Michael Lewittes.
