Sammy's Tequila and Tune in an Indie Film
June 4, 2004
Tom Prather proudly announces:
THE BLUE WAVE RELEASES ITS FIRST INDEPENDENT FILM
Small production company based out of Washington, DC throws its hat in the independent film arena. Loosely based on real life events, Meetings is a hilarious short film about the drudgery of 9 to 5 office life and meetings in particular. Meetings is funny and relatable with an unanticipated twist.
The Blue Wave has assembled a multi - talented cast and crew resulting in a laugh out loud film.
Meetings has already captured celebrity attention including musician Sammy Hagar who has authorized product placement of his tequila, Cabo Wabo, for use in the film. He has also donated rights to his popular song "Make it All Right". Meetings has also created an alliance with the fourth largest rock station in the Country, Clear Channelís DC101.
Although, we would not recommend going to your office drunk, this cast might. With the notion that they have "nothing to lose," four best friends who hate their jobs decide to make it through the day at all costs. They alter fate by drinking heavily the morning of their monotonous weekly meetings. This non-conventional coping mechanism . . . is sure to elicit lots of laughs! In the end they all develop what you might call, letís say, a new - found appreciation for meetings.
