Upcoming Radio Special Debuts COMPLETE New Songs
June 10, 2004
The VHND has received a CD of "VAN HALEN TOUR 2004", due to broadcast tomorrow night on the Westwood One radio network.
The poor-quality MP3s of the three new VH songs leaked to the Internet earlier this week were clearly lifted from this radio show. As some suspected, the files circulating for Up For Breakfast and Learning To See are indeed incomplete. The leaked MP3s begin right at the verse, where Sammy starts singing, but both of those songs have great, lengthy intros! The three new songs are played in their entirety on the show, but with the band talking over the intros, almost certainly to confound file sharers. The sound quality of all the songs played on the special is also purposely less than full CD quality.
The band continues to stick to the forward-looking approach to Van Halen in the year 2004 and is not asked any questions that are even remotely taboo.
The program runs 60 minutes, including commercials, with around 20 - 30 minutes of interviews with all four guys interspersed with the following songs:
Poundcake
Finish What Ya Started
Learning To See (w/ intro)
It's About time
Up For Breakfast (w/ intro)
Dreams
Can't Stop Loving You
Right Now
Runaround
Why Can't This Be Love
