Sundays are made for football and rock and roll. So it's only appropriate for Sammy Hagar, The Voice of Real Rock,
to kick off "The NFL Today" on CBS this Sunday with a live concert performance at 12:00 pm EST telecast. This is the
first time in CBS Sports' history a concert performance has been telecast. This is an exclusive preview performance
as Sammy Hagar celebrates the release of
"TEN 13" his new
album in stores two days later, Tuesday, October 24th.
"We're thrilled to have Sammy Hagar visit the set this Sunday," said CBS Sports' Jim Nantz.
Hagar is set to start his "Cabo Wabo Birthday Bash" tour on November 11 in Phoenix, AZ in support of his new album
TEN 13, due in
stores October 24. The first single from the album, "Serious JUJU" is the #3 most requested song at
rock radio across the country with over 110 radio stations spinning it. "Serious JUJU" is currently Top Ten on the
R&R Rock Charts. The single will be included in the "Cabo Wabo Birthday Bash" set list as well as Hagar classics
such as "I Can't Drive 55," "There's Only One Way to Rock" and "Mas Tequila" as well as material from his days
fronting Montrose and Van Halen including: "Rock Candy", "Best Of Both Worlds" and "Right Now."
