Wolfgang Van Halen posted an emotional message to his father Eddie Van Halen, who passed away one year ago today.
Below is his post to Twitter today:
One year.
You fought so hard for so long, but you were still taken away. It’s just so unfair.
I’m not ok. I don’t think I’ll ever be ok. There’s so much I wish I could show you. So many things I wish I could share with you. I wish I could laugh with you again. I wish I could hug you again. I miss you so much it hurts.
I’m trying to do my best here without you, but it’s really fucking hard. I hope you’re still proud.
I love you witl all my heart, Pop.
Watch over me.

Wolfgang also recently took to social media to remember Van Halen’s last-ever concert (October 4th, 2005 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles), pay tribute to David Lee Roth (who recently announced his retirement), and his first-ever concert as a member of Van Halen (September 27th, 2007 at the Bobcats Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina).
