Sunset Sound Studios has just uncovered a work order for a 1977 Van Halen demo recording session.
Below is the post from Sunset Sound‘s Facebook page along with the comment:
“Woah!! Look at what we found!!! Subscribe [to] https://youtu.be/5-biL02KxE4 because we’re going through all the #vanhalen work orders and releasing audio and performances. No one has seen or touched this piece of paper for 43 years. Interesting fact that VH worked in 6 hr half days always..”
As you can see the order was for a session dated April 13th, 1977 and paid for on April 30th. Also included is the name of long-time Van Halen engineer Donn Landee:

Sunset Sound promises to reveal more throughout the month. They’re calling it Van Halen November. They kicked off the month by posting part one of an interview with engineer Brian Kehew, who was hired as an independent contractor to sort through the Warner Bros. archives around 2005.
